POSITION: Bookkeeper

CITY: Concord, ON

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Full-time, permanent

SALARY: $40 000 - $50 000

Job Description:
  • Cash applications and bank deposits
  • Accounts Receivable financial statements – aging reports etc
  • Maintain, organize and match packaging slips and purchase order with correct invoices
  • Reconcile credit card and bank transactions
  • Organize and File all receipts to support all charges on the statements
  • Maintain and approve purchase orders in system
  • Create, maintain and organize journal entries for cash payments
  • Order checks, office supplies, bank books when applicable
  • Prepare checks/EFT and wire payments
  • Prepare, review and input inventory costing
  • Reconcile and balance all accounts including bank and inventory
  • Review and prepare financial statements (income statement, balance sheet)
  • Responsible for keys of all locations
  • Prepare payments for WSIB, HST and Utilities payments
  • Updating/maintaining asset tag systems
  • Organize and prepare lease payments and lease renewals
  • Communicates (both in verbal and written form) with customers, vendors, and banking contacts
  • Analyzes, reconciles, balances, and maintains accounting records
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance an asset
  • Experience working with SAP is required
  • Experience working in the retail industry is required
  • Self-motivated and result oriented
