Payroll Administrator


POSITION: Payroll Administrator

CITY: Mississauga, ON

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Full time, Permanent

SALARY: $35,000 - $45,000/year

Job Description:
  • Analyze, prepare, enter, and verify data for payroll processing in accordance with company standards and audit requirements
  • Fully process all Terminations and ROE’s, in addition to other standard payroll entries
  • Provide information to other departments and employees on payroll matters
  • Timesheet Importing and Distribution as required
  • General ledger reconciliations, other ad hoc spreadsheets, and financial remittances
  • Assist in the year end process through preparation of T4’s
  • Extract, upload or download information through various system interfaces
  • Maintain filing and archiving
  • Provide occasional vacation coverage for the senior payroll staff
  • Others tasks as assigned by managers or senior payroll staff
Job Requirements:
  • PCP Certification or PCP Candidate with all payroll courses completed
  • Must have at least 2+ years working within a payroll
  • Post secondary diploma or degree in payroll, accounting, or a related business program considered an asset
  • Experience with ADP Pay Specialist or WFN considered an asset
  • Strong data entry and computer skills
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect and analyze information
  • Organized, detailed oriented, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to take direction or work independently when required
  • Must have a willingness to learn and take responsibility for own learning
  • Must be flexible with working hours and have the ability to work additional hours when required to meet strict deadlines
