Accounts Payable Coordinator

POSITION: Accounts Payable Coordinator

CITY: Richmond Hill, ON


SALARY: $17/hour+

Principal Functional Responsibilities:
  • Matching, batching, coding, and vouching invoices in various business software solutions
  • Reconciliations of vendor statements and inter-company statements to general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries monthly
  • Reconcile A/P sub ledgers to general ledger monthly
  • Research and investigate supplier inquiries and vendor disputes
  • Review all internal travel expense reporting and prepare random audits as required by expense reporting software solution
  • Investigate customer deductions and process customer claims for one division
  • Responsible for petty cash and monthly reconciliations
  • Responsible to work with Corporate bank to void cheques and investigate/trace incorrect or missing electronic funds transfer
  • Minimum 5 (five) years of full cycle A/P experience in a diversified/multinational/multidivisional corporation, working with both Canadian and US currencies is required
  • General accounting diploma or certificate is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to problem solve and multitask in a demanding, busy environment
  • Excellent computer skills, including strength in Excel and Word Office products
  • Experience with JD Edwards or Oracle software
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills are an asset
