Accounts Payable Specialist


POSITION: Accounts Payable Specialist

CITY: Newmarket, ON

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Temporary

SALARY: $22/hour

Job Responsibilities:
  • Process 150-200 complex invoices per day
  • Weekly payment runs and 3-way matching
  • Pay vendors and conduct vendor inquiries
  • Analyze expense reports, purchase orders, receipts and invoices
  • Reconcile processed work and prepare monthly journal entries
  • GL inventory account and vendor account reconciliations
Qualifications:
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Intermediate Excel skills (i.e. experience with vlookup and pivot tables)
  • Must have previous experience with SAGE or Accpac
  • Must have experience dealing with payments in CAD and USD
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience processing complex invoices in high volume
  • Distribution and/or inventory background is considered an asset
