Property Accountant


POSITION: Property Accountant

JOB ID: 7659

CITY: Toronto, ON

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Full time, Permanent

SALARY: $60,000 - $65,000/year+

Job Responsibilities:
  • Financial statements including cash flow statements
  • Variance Analysis and reporting against the approved budgets
  • Aged Arrears Report
  • Cash Summary Report
  • Realty Taxes Report
  • GST Payable Report
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Preparing and entering monthly recurring journal entries for the month-end closing
  • Completing the month-end account closing
  • Updating all relevant accounting schedules as part of the financial statements
  • Year-End CAM and Realty tax Reconciliations
  • Year-End working papers for properties designated
  • Coordination with external auditor's for the year-end audit
  • Year-End Budgets and reforecast for properties assigned
  • Preparation of pre-bills based on approved budgets
Qualifications:
  • 4-5+ years of related property accounting experience is required
  • MUST have experience in commercial or industrial property accounting
  • CPA designation or enrollment is required
  • Knowledge of JD Enterprise One is a strong asset
  • Advanced level Excel skills are required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
