POSITION: Accounts Payable Admin

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Full time, Permanent

SALARY: $45,000-$50,000

Job Description:

  • Manage all invoices, statements and other relevant documentation
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure all invoices are properly approved
  • Code invoices to GL accounts and input vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reconcile vendor statements and communicate with vendors and liaise with internal departments
  • Prepare vendor cheques, coordinate EFT and wire payments
  • Set up new vendors and maintain vendor database
  • Process employee expense reimbursements ensuring proper approvals are obtained
  • Perform credit card and debit card reconciliations
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve accounts payable processing to create efficiencies and assist in development of AP metrics
  • Other ad-hoc projects as may be assigned from time to time
  • Job Requirements:
    • Minimum 2 years of work experience in Accounts Payable, prior work experience with restaurant concept or multi-unit retail concept considered a plus
    • University Degree and/or College Diploma specializing in Business or Accounting
    • Strong MS Office skills; Advanced skills in MS Excel including ability to analyze large amounts of information and complex spreadsheets
    • Previous work experience dealing with an ERP system with multiple entities and currencies an asset
    • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize task, and adapt to a fast paced, high growth environment
    • Highly motivated, enthusiastic, self-starter, proactively identifying and resolving issues and areas of improvement
