Payroll Administrator


POSITION: Payroll Administrator

JOB ID: 7755

CITY: Toronto, ON

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Temporary

SALARY: $17+/ hour

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for processing payroll for 1500+ hourly employees on a weekly basis (multi-provincial)
  • Receive hours coming from various Time and Attendance systems upload/download the hours, and process gross to net payroll in the system
  • Assist with adjustments and payroll reconciliations as required
  • Process union dues if required
  • Respond to employee inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Prepare ROEs as required
  • Distribute paystubs and pay checks
  • Transmit payroll to bank
  • Verify accuracy of hours and preform a reasonability check
Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a requirement
  • 1+ year of relevant payroll processing experience is required
  • Pursuing PCP designation or fully designated is an asset
  • Intermediate MS excel skills are an asset (pivot tables, v-look ups)
  • Experience working with various payroll processing programs is an asset
  • Experience working in a fast paced, high volume environment is required
