Accounts Payable Clerk


POSITION: Accounts Payable Clerk

JOB ID: 8020

CITY: Markham, ON

LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT: Temporary

SALARY: $16/hour+

Job Responsibilities:
  • Post invoices into Accounts Payable system, while validating approval on invoices, and resolving amount or quantity discrepancies with purchase orders
  • Verify expense reports and export data from expense reporting system for payment process
  • Schedule vendor payments for locations both Canadian and USA to be approved by appropriate controllers
  • Liase with various departments about AP requirements
  • Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos
  • Contact vendors to investigate stale-dated cheques
  • Assist with quarterly intercompany confirmations
  • Backup for credit card administration
Qualifications:
  • 2-3 years of relevant Accounts Payable experience
  • Experience with SAP is a requirement
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills are required (pivot tables, v-look up functions)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high volume environments
